Installation was a bit tricky, but only because fan is 10' in the air, on a drop rod. Unit works great, although I am disappointed that the light does not dim like the original remote and motor did.

We are glad that the remote came as a kit. We still need to spend some time replacing the mechanism inside the fans. I highly recommend using Hampton-Bay parts for Hampton-Bay fans. We looked at the generic alternative at *** and did not purchase it.
