This was the exact same remote my wife list. Didn't work for my Hampton bay fan. Bought on advise of tech support. Had to return and return shipping was almost as much as the item. Much better to go with a new receiver and remote combo which fixed my problem.

Good quality, great timely service. The larger buttons are much easier to use compared to our old unit. The remote works perfectly. My only negative point would be the lack of instructions. Fortunately my son had a friend who was familiar with the unit. Also I needed a magnifying glass to discover the type of battery needed. Just saying, a little info goes a long way.

Physically the new remote matched the original one. So it looked and felt the same. The dip switch settings out of the box happened to match the original remote. The old remote had a dim/on switch inside above the battery compartment, the replacement did not. We never used/toggled the switch, so we never new if it was functional. Apparently it not being there had no affect on the new remote controlling the fan and lights. I put the 23A battery in the case, and tried the light along with the various fan settings and everything worked perfectly.

Works as advertised. Added bonus, the light on/off switch when held down acts as a dimmer switch. Nice surprise. Simple to use. Odd battery type - 12v A23 battery isn't commonly sold at the bodega, but can be found at Canadian Tire, London Drugs, and Walmart electronics dept.

The remote control works great. It was very easy to setup to use.

This unit does not include the dimmer switch present on the original model, hence it can be used only to turn the light full on or off. This was a bit of a disappointment but I didn't want to bother returning it, so I guess I will just make do.

This remote is very easy to use and small enough to keep on the bedside table if you don't want to mount it.

Alas, shortly after ordering this item, we discovered that the 'bad' one simply needed a new battery. Since it had been little-used, we did not think that could be so, but a new battery did get it working. Perhaps there really IS something about it that causes the battery to drain quickly. (Remember the last time you couldn't start your car?) In that case the newly ordered remote will be needed quickly.

This is a great company to work with. I have purchased 2 different remotes from this company, one of which was a special order, and they have really come through. I will order from them anytime I need a remote control.

it's good. too bad it doesn't fit the existing mount for the remote it replaces. it didn't fix our problem so i think the receiver in the fan is the problem. we figured it was the remote because it went out the same time my 1 year old got his hands on it and dropped it a dozen times. we think we are just going to go with a manual fan for the time being.

Perfect replacement for the fan remote

My remote still worked, but the cover was chewed by a dog. It was ugly! I am unable to climb a ladder to get the fan model off the tpp of the motor. I bought this since it looked exactly like mine and it did not work for me, so I swapped the circuit boards and all is good.

Actually, I haven't seen it yet in person, but I trust it is fine. I sent it to a tenant of ours and was able to tell her over the phone how to set the dip switches, and it worked first time. Good delivery. By the way, I had to change the dip switches because we own a town home, and some neighbor had some device causing our ceiling fan to turn on from their town home. The tenant would come home at night, and the fan would be on. As soon as I changed the dip switches away from the default settings, the problem stopped. If you have multiple remote control fans in your home, you will need to set them to different dip switch settings. Otherwise, if you leave them all at default, you can turn your fan on downstairs, and it will turn it on upstairs as well. Every time in our case.
