There was still an issue where this remote could not turn on the receiver but could shut it off and control volume. The original remote is no longer available. I tried a couple of other remotes from a different dealer and had the same issue. At least this one we could put in a code even though it didn't work the on command either. The tech person was very helpful and worked with me in trying everything possible. So I kept this remote. I just need to manually turn on the receiver.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a new aftermarket remote control for my Yamaha receiver at a good price! It's been my past experience that most A/V manufacturers charge a ridiculously high premium for new replacement remotes, rivaling the cost of the entire original purchase, and that's assuming they still have any. This was my first purchase from Dan's Electronics, I'm sure it won't be my last. Order arrived quickly, have been using it for a couple of weeks so far and very pleased.

The original replacement apparently was no longer available and I got a call offering one that replaced the replacement, at a lower cost. It arrived and I put in a couple batteries. We figured it would take an hour to program, but on a whim, I tried it out and it worked perfectly. No programming. No swearing. No frustration! This remote is just like the original, but it works!!!
