The Anderic RRC423 remote control replaces many original equipment JVC TV remotes. The RRC423 will work right out of the package for compatible JVC TV models listed (but not limited to) without any programming. The RRC423 is a pre-programmed JVC TV remote and cannot be programmed to any other devices. Remote was for my JVC TV. Not an appropriate substitute because does not have the very feature that was broke on my original RCC423 remote, namely the selection button for TV/Video.

Does the job right away. Appreciate the mute and volume features, which had worn off my original. Only problem is it is next to impossible to open the battery area - the panel hinge is extremely tiny and hard to open.
