The driver had to return with my delivery because he never checks the small envelope stash, where I shipped to my work address and we get half a pallet a day of boxes.
Had iSense ink in addition to Dynex, which I always wondered about the swapability of, but means nothing as I didn't find any iSense remotes elsewhere when shopping.
When new, push hard before you try to slide the battery door.
Broke the battery door catch trying to open it the first time, but I checked my old remote and it's a crappy design so there's nobody to blame but Dynex. I put my old door on the new remote and problem solved. I probably pulled harder than I should (while pressing down) because I had adapted to my old remote with an easier-to-slide motion and a worn down catch.
Turns old the old remote would still be okay if the battery mount hadn't sheared off, after dropping hard, so it looks like I'll soon have two remotes once I glue that back on. The intermittent nature of the signal fail was due to intermittent battery contact, but no rattle noise to give a hint. I'm taking the new one apart now because, inside, the rattling bit of broken catch is driving me crazy, although it would probably never hurt functionality.
