IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER:
1. Ensure to read and retain these instructions for future reference.
2. All fixed wiring appliances must be installed by a qualified electrician.
3. Connect the supply to the remote control receiver through a mains switch, such as an existing wall switch.
4. Before working on the remote control receiver or ceiling fan, disconnect from the power supply at the wall switch.
5. Install the receiver into the ceiling fan canopy for proper protection.
6. This unit is designed for controlling ceiling fans and operates on an AC110V/120V 60Hz power supply only.
7. Do not install in damp locations or submerge in water. (Intended for indoor use only.)
8. Avoid pulling on or cutting the leads shorter.
9. Handle the unit carefully to prevent dropping or bumping.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. After installation, set the ceiling fan to HIGH speed and ensure the light kit (if included) is in the ON position by pulling the "Pull Switch."
2. Once the connection is made, insert the receiver into the drop rod hanging bracket. Then, cover the receiver and bracket with the canopy.
CODE SWITCH IMPORTANCE:
Before operating the remote control, ensure the ceiling fan's manual switch is set to HIGH speed and the light kit (if present) is turned ON.
CAUTION: Incorrect wire connections can damage the receiver.
1. CODE SWITCH: Set codes by adjusting dip switches up or down. It is crucial that the code used for both the transmitter and receiver is identical; otherwise, the remote controller will not function properly. Note that the code switch allows you to operate a second remote controller independently. For instance, if you have two ceiling fans with two remote control units, assign different codes to each set of transmitter/receivers. This allows independent operation of each ceiling fan.
