Besides the weight of the casing being less substantial than what I'm used to with the original, (which I'll get used to), am extremely pleased with this product. Bought this as the recommended replacement for BN59-00853A It works fine for the functions I use. It bugs me that the Fav.Ch and Info buttons moved since I use them all the time The E Mode is a button I didn't have and does not do anything with my TV. There is no SRS button on the new control but it's on my old one. One other button has a different label and location for same function and a bunch of others have moved around. I'd call it about 90% compatible, but good enough.

Happy that it is already pre-paired with my TV, so no need for the dragged out and tedious setup instructions. There's only a couple of things that I'm not pleased about: I don't care for the RED illuminating back light on the remote. Nor, do I like that the remote doesn't work unless it is pointed directly at the sensor on the TV. I have always been able to turn channels, adjust the volume or turn on/off the TV when pointing the remote anywhere. It would still operate the TV seamlessly, with no problem at all. Nonetheless, I'm happy that I have a remote that works.

Got to admit I had doubts that it would work with the old Samsung Model LN40B550K1FXZA that I have, but darned if it isn't exactly the correct remote for this TV! I am more than pleased!

An inexpensive replacement that was delivered quickly and worked for our application (Samsung 7000 series). Communicated immediately with television, no issues (we do not require many of the functions the remote provides). As promised, once the batteries were inserted, the TV replacement remote worked right out of the box. It was a big relief, since I had just gone through a terrible experience with another company whose people lied to me, whose remote did not work, who over-changed me by about 50% for their useless replacement remote, and who charged me for shipping both ways.

When replacing the batteries, it was very hard to get them to make contact. The remote was not working until I jiggled the batteries around quite a bit. The battery compartment could be more sturdily designed. Other than that, it is good and works well. The buttons are a little different than the original remote. Better contacts on the battery compartment would be good. I don't know if it will work next time I have to change the batteries.

Not your fault, however. TV is about 6 years old. We had lost remote long ago. We made a trip to Africa, and took over 5,000 pictures. We had to buy your remote to work the WiseLInk function on TV; your remote DID work it. However, in 6 years, cameras, cell phones and flash drives seem to have changed. The WiseLink function (for inputting pictures from flash drives, etc) shows 3 out of every 4 pictures as "Format Not Supported". Thanks, though! John
