I got what I needed. The universal wouldn't let me use all the functions of my Blu-ray player.

When you order a replacement remote, or any replacement product, make sure before ordering the new one it is compatible for what you are using it with. Make sure you have product number or serial number from the old one. It makes it easier for you to use. When I ordered my remote it was the correct model so I did not have to do any programming. Makes things much easier.

ive had my vizio blu ray player for approx 4 months and the controller has always seemed a littler quriky, response time is slow, buttons are tight and not easy to push, i thought it would work itself out after a while since it was new but now the buttons are systematically ceasing to work, the down button does not work; and you cannot use the menu on streaming video sights with out the down button.
